About

Kate loves being a therapist! Supporting clients while they explore their goals, frustrations, joys, and sorrows is her honour and pleasure. As her client, you can expect to feel welcomed, heard, understood, and challenged. She brings warmth, patience, humour and respect to her practice. She also brings a lifetime of experience and education, including an awareness of issues that affect clients’ day to day lives, such as racism, poverty, disability, sexism, and homophobia.

Kate studied philosophy and English at Dalhousie University. She has spent most of her career as the Senior Youth Worker at LOVE, a youth violence prevention and intervention program. In 2021 she graduated from Acadia University with an M.Ed. in Counselling. She is passionate about young adulthood (ages 13-25), parenthood, couples and families, and social justice issues.
